GNU tar, version 1.11.2

GNU tar is upwards compatabile with the standard tar supplied.  It adds
many new features including:
        remote devices
        compression
        multi-volume archives
        extract to standard out
        extract using wild cards
        interactive confirmation
        extract only "missing" files
        only store files "newer than date"
        efficient handling of sparse files
