Migration Expands Leading Text-To-Speech Engine’s
Potential Customer Reach
Chelmsford, MA. – December
14, 2001 -- Ready-to-Run Software (RTR) has announced completion of a
cross-platform migration project for SpeechWorks International, Inc. (Nasdaq:
SPWX), a global leader in speech recognition and text-to-speech (TTS)
technologies and services. This project required RTR to provide engineering
services in support of the migration of the Speechify™ text-to-speech engine
from Linux to Windows NT/2000 and Sun®
Solaris®.
S peechWorks’ Speechify
is a next-generation text-to-speech (TTS) engine that surpasses the
mechanical sound of other TTS systems and sets the standard for pleasant,
understandable and natural-sounding synthesized speech. Speechify can speed
application deployment and reduce costs by eliminating the time and expense
